On a day long ago, near the Island of Skree,
I was sailing along on the Sassaway Sea.
When right out of nowhere the wind blew so strong
That faster and faster it blew me along.
I was scared I can tell you, as scared as can be,
Out there all alone the Sassaway Sea.
The keel came un-keeled, and the mast came un-masted,
And still the gale lasted, and lasted, and lasted.
My sailing boat shook, and it shivered and shuddered,
The planks came un-planked, and the rudder un-ruddered,
And just when I thought I would sink in the sea,
A wave threw me up on The Island of Skree.
