The Mystery of the Lake is the second book in The Jungle of Utt series. It tells the story of how the children of The Jungle of Utt, go to the lake for a swim in the hot summer's sun. While swimming to the far side of the lake they are startled by a strange looking creature that fills them with dread. They race to the shore to tell what they'd seen to Barnaby, the Utt Jungle Mayor. Now Barnaby, the elephant, Old Jeremiah, the Llamas, Constable Bear, Gerald Giraffe and all the Utt Jungle characters must be brave and search to discover The Mystery of the Lake.
